Was ist diode

Eine Diode ist eine Art elektronisches Bauteil, das Strom nur in eine Richtung fließen lässt. Es besteht aus einem Halbleitermaterial mit zwei Elektroden, Anode und Kathode genannt, die an gegenüberliegenden Enden des Materials angebracht sind. Wenn an die Anode eine positive Spannung und an die Kathode eine negative Spannung angelegt wird, fließt Strom durch die Diode.

Wird die Spannung umgekehrt, sperrt die Diode den Stromfluss. Dioden werden üblicherweise in Netzteilen, Hochfrequenzanwendungen (RF) und beim Gleichrichten von Wechselstrom (AC) in Gleichstrom (DC) verwendet.
